Traditional/Blended Worship

9:30 am Sundays, Sanctuary and Online

If you are visiting or just looking around, we welcome you, whoever you are, exactly as you are! We hope you feel warmly welcomed and hosted into the hospitality of God!

Rev. Caitlan and Rev. Joel are our pastors, and they’re great. They will love you, and you will love them. But here, the real ministers of this church are all her people.

FAQs

  • We will hand you an order of worship as you enter, so you can know what’s happening and when. There will be times of high energy and celebration, lower moments of confession and reflection, and significant moments of learning and sharing.

We will read scripture together and do so carefully, in context, remembering the people who wrote the Bible were inspired by God but were also products of their time and culture. The preachers will place the lessons of scripture in ancient times and imagine how those lessons translate to our time.

We will often celebrate Communion (also called Lord’s Supper or Eucharist), and all are invited.

  • Worship is a VERB, a word of action and presence. We might not have all the same feelings, thoughts, or beliefs when we gather together for worship or as we leave. But, we share the discipline and practice of worshiping God together.

Lots of folks set aside private time for prayer and reflection, alone time in a comfy chair or out in nature. Those are precious God moments. However, worship is also a communal act.

  • Gosh, no. We all believe something. On our best days, we believe, trust, and know there is a God. We believe we know God best through Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, as Holy Spirit reveals God to us in Scripture, nature, and relationships.

We also doubt and struggle and question and wonder. Our beliefs are not full and perfect, flawless and sufficient. We have doubts and will spend our lives learning, growing, and evolving.
