The congregation supports financially, and individual Presbyterians are active in virtually every organization and activity in Kent County which works for the alleviation of poverty and human suffering.  In Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Cecil Counties, Maryland we connect with our neighbors through:

  • Good Neighbor Fund (helping neighbors with emergency needs)
  • Meeting Ground (helping neighbors experiencing homelessness in Cecil Co.)
  • Samaritan Shelter (we are a “host” site for the shelter for one month each winter)
  • Deep Roots at Clairvaux Farm (supporting Cecil County families experiencing homelessness)
  • Haven Ministries (shelter, clothing, food, and resources for neighbors experiencing poverty)
  • Crossroads Community, Inc. (individuals with behavioral health needs)
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness MD (peer support, education, outreach programs in Kent Co.)
  • Youth Group Support (safe, accessible welcoming group to support young people)
  • Matthew 25 (focusing on congregational vitality, structural racism, and systemic poverty)
  • Minary’s Dream Alliance (supporting education, resource development, and community engagement)
  • Kent Homeless Shelter (supporting a long-term solution to homelessness in Kent Co.)
